BLOGGER.FASHION BUYER.STYLIST.
Hiya dolls, I'm Gena; a 20 something fashion graduate from the University of Manchester and the Manchester Fashion Institute. I am a recent Master's graduate in International Fashion Marketing at the University of Manchester. Since I started my Undergraduate Degree in Fashion Business and management in 2016; I have sporadically lived between Liverpool, Manchester, and Leeds for work and studying. I love traveling and discovering fashion boutiques.
I have a strong affinity for fashion and the luxury industry. I have experience working in marketing, VM, and styling for designer brands in cosmetic/ fashion retail and PR environments. I heavily admire the design and craftsmanship of designer garments and luxury brand imagery. I am passionate about fashion ethics and fashion history with a proclivity towards vintage garments. My favourite fashion decade always wavers dependant on current trends shown during fashion week. Though, I have always loved the mod look of the sixties.
I live and breathe for fashion forecasting and currently work as a ladieswear buyer, a part-time model, and as a consultant for luxury cosmetic brands in Selfridges and Harvey Nicholls. I am always drawn to sharp tailoring, quality, silhouettes, sustainability through timelessness, craftsmanship, and designer and individuals who inspire me. I am heavily influenced by 20th-century fashion and take clothing from vintage, the high street and luxury, to curate a capsule wardrobe that is timeless and sustainable.
