Missguided's Manchester sample sale
Arriving at 11am to Factory on princess street we were greeted by the longest que I have ever witnessed. The que snaked down the entire street and wrapped around the corner. Determined to not go home empty handed; we persisted to walk for a total of ten minutes to the back of the que. The sale unfortunately started an hour earlier than anticipated., and after (I wish I could say patiently) waiting we were finally allowed inside.
Engulfed into the darkness of the usually loud and bustling nightclub we had ten minutes to scour through endless rails of garments. Wishing I had a large basket, and with time ticking- I charged rail to rail with a mountain of clothes strung across my arms. I was determined to find the best clothes I could find. Ignoring my hangover and trying not to trip on the clothes that continued to drop out of my arms. The misguided staff and djs cheered and offered free clothes for the best dancer for a dance- off. I was far more interested in spending the final two minutes gathering clothes.
The timer cut- off and we were ushered upstairs to pay. Filtering through the clothes was the hardest part as I found it almost impossible to part myself from any of them. It made me wonder why I had seen so many girls leaving with only two items in their trade-marked lipstick shoppers. There I was, stood in front of 30 items and trying to filter it down to just 10. It was a mere £5 per item and with 9/10 items fitting me I found the day to be a success. Although I am addicted to sample sales, I won't be putting myself through the torture of waiting for so long to gain entry again... especially whilst I see floods of girls leaving with fabulous clothes.
